A forgotten cat finds the strength to survive on the streets and pursue his deepest desire.
Four years ago, Giove was abandoned by his owners. They left him behind when they moved away. For a house cat like him, it was a devastating blow. Jaina, a rescuer from the group, was struck by Giove’s sad eyes. How could his owners just leave him like that? She couldn’t find any explanation. But one thing was clear—it was time to act. She went to the location and brought the cat to safety. After placing him gently in a carrier, she noticed wounds on his body. Giove clearly wasn’t used to life on the streets and had suffered from encounters with other stray cats.
Neighbors shared that Giove loved caring for stray kittens. So, the rescuers decided to place some rescued kittens in his bed to see how he’d react. Giove’s response was touching and unexpected. His paternal instinct immediately kicked in—he began grooming and protecting the little ones with incredible tenderness.
