The little kitten was so weak that even his voice seemed to have disappeared.
While staying at the veterinary hospital, he could hear another cat crying nearby. He reacted to the sound, showing that he was still aware of what was happening around him, but when he tried to respond, no sound came out. For the person caring for him, it was an especially heartbreaking moment.

The kitten had reportedly been left in their care by his mother, a stray cat who had been coming around for food. The rescuer was worried about his fragile condition and desperately hoped that the veterinary team could help him regain his strength.
That night, there was little anyone could do except wait and hope.

A Mother Who Returned to Her Usual Routine
The rescuer’s concern grew even stronger after checking on the mother cat the following evening. Surprisingly, she appeared to be doing well and ate her food as usual.
It left the rescuer with the impression that the mother had deliberately left the kitten behind. Perhaps she had been unable or unwilling to care for him any longer, although the exact reason remained unclear.

One thought kept coming back: if the kitten had been brought to safety sooner, perhaps before the rain arrived, he might not have become so vulnerable.
But there was no time to dwell on what might have happened. The little one needed help now, and his caregiver was determined to give him every chance possible.

One More Day, One More Chance
The immediate hope was that the kitten would be stronger by the next visit to the hospital. His rescuer wanted to see him eating, regaining his energy, and responding more actively to the world around him.
Even the smallest improvement would mean so much.

The caregiver was already imagining a happier future for him: recovering fully, finding a kind and loving adopter, and growing up in a home where he would never have to face hunger, cold, or abandonment again.
There was even a search underway for the perfect name.

Several suggestions had already emerged, including Geongangi (meaning “healthy”), Bokdeongi (a little blessing or lucky treasure), and Boki (a name associated with good fortune). Some people believe that giving a rescued animal an old-fashioned, affectionate name can bring good luck and help them live a long life.
Whatever name he eventually receives, the hope behind it is the same: that this tiny kitten will grow stronger and have a bright future ahead.

For now, his rescuer is asking everyone to send him good wishes and keep hoping for better news.

He has already been through more than such a little life should have to endure. May his next visit bring a stronger kitten, a little appetite, and the beginning of the happy life he deserves.
